Also, changing it back to the image that was corrupted returns the corrupted pixels exactly the way they were. They somehow get attached to that specific image. 4- I'm using Ubuntu 20.04. 5- Sometimes those squares appear in the login screen too. 6- I have attached a screenshot of the desktop (1.jpg in the zip file I've attached) 7- Another observation I've had is that right after I enter my password in the login page, the screen somehow "flashes" once and some lines appear on the screen (2.jpg in the zip file) What I've tried: 1- I tried changing the NVIDIA driver from xorg to NVIDIA's own driver (version 440) but no luck. 2- Tried "dconf reset -f /org/gnome/" and it didn't help.
