+ Additional info (forgive me if some of these are included in the bug details
that was automatically uploaded):
1- My laptop has two graphic cards: Intel and NVIDIA and it's using Intel as
the default card (It's written in the About page of the Settings)
2- I also have Windows on my laptop and it doesn't happen there.
3- Changing the background solves the issue but only until the next restart.
Also, changing it back to the image that was corrupted returns the corrupted
pixels exactly the way they were. They somehow get attached to that specific
image.
  4- I'm using Ubuntu 20.04.
5- Sometimes those squares appear in the login screen too.
6- I have attached a screenshot of the desktop (1.jpg in the zip file I've
attached)
7- Another observation I've had is that right after I enter my password in
the login page, the screen somehow "flashes" once and some lines appear on the
screen (2.jpg in the zip file)

  What I've tried:
1- I tried changing the NVIDIA driver from xorg to NVIDIA's own driver
(version 440) but no luck.
2- Tried "dconf reset -f /org/gnome/" and it didn't help.

  Workarounds I've found:
- Restarting Gnome using Alt+F2 and entering r will solve the problem but only
until the next restart.
