Having small thumbnails is better than having no thumbnails. To attract a wider audience Ubuntu must have a better out-of-the box experience. My bug https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gdk- pixbuf/-/issues/157#note_804913and was closed after a brief discussion. Could this be fixed in Ubuntu with a post-install script? One would expect thumbnails in nautilus to simply work. Most people won't search the help pages and then dig into the configs and will be frustrated.
