heimdal (7.7.0+dfsg-2ubuntu1) impish; urgency=medium
* Disable lto, to regain dep on roken, otherwise dependencies on amd64
are different to i386 resulting in different files on amd64 and
i386. LP: #1934936

Title:
package libwind0-heimdal
Working on the problem, I got the idea to move the symlink to another
name and so I tried "apt -f install" and the con worked. I perform these
steps:
$ cd /usr/share/doc/libwind0-heimdal/
$ mv changelog.Debian.gz changelog.Debian.gz.old
$ apt -f install
RESULT:
Reading package lists... Done
In i386 build log I see
Searching for duplicated docs in dependency libroken18-heimdal...
symlinking changelog.Debian.gz in libwind0-heimdal to file in
libroken18-heimdal
I don't see something similar in adm64.
As if the trimming of the changelog entries got done before doing
symlinks,
It's probably a bug in pkgstripfiles, will confirm

Is this debhelper or binary-package-mangler bug then?

Yeah I'm getting this too on dist-upgrade, now that heimdal migrated to
impish.

I had this issue too, it got solved by rebooting and running Software
Update (update-manager).

Hello and thanks for this bug report. You mentioned you hit this problem
from a fresh 21.10 install, however two things that caught my attention:
- The package you are trying to install is for i386, for which there is no
installation media for Impish. I guess you added i386 as a foreign
Rebooted and tried updating again. Did not work.
Chose partial update this time and everything downloaded once more with
5.13.0.11 kernel and all processes completed. Rebooted and got the new look
with dual desktops showing up.
