Public bug reported:

Downloaded and installed Turboprint driver for Canon iP90 but balked at
the high ($55 USD) price. The 30 day free trial ended and I found that
the iP90 printer would operate after installing the iP110 driver (with
the iP90-Cups or the iP90-Gutenprint drivers, it would only output 25 or
so blank pages with faint printing at the top of the page). Canon didn't
make a Linux driver for the iP90 printer that I can find.

Today, tried to uninstall Turboprint but it seems to be all over my
printer config setup. As part of that, I uninstalled the 'working' iP110
driver setup. Deleted it from the printer window. Now when I install the
CUPS generic iP110 driver, and try to print a test page, it does
nothing. Doesn't even wink the printers activity light and doesn't show
the print job in the print queue.

So it seems that Turboprint insinuated itself into the system in a way
that prevents it's total removal and is somehow blocking the CUPS
drivers.
