Response:
Job for systemd-nspawn@jammy-rootfs.service failed because the control process 
exited with error code.

If so, a fix was committed in March 2022: 
https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/22774
but maybe that was too late for 22.04? Or this is a different problem?
