I have the same problem with a HP DeskJet 3700 printer. I've tried Linux Mint 18.3 and Manjaro 18.0.2. I had no success, until I tried one thing: In LibreOffice 6.1 I forced printer to use PostScript instead of PDF output - and the print was finally good! Now my question is - how can I fore

The patch applied to Ubuntu Lucid and proposed in: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/poppler/+bug/293832/comments/107 fixed the very same issue for me with a Brother MFC 7820N. Any comments on the validity and correctness of the patch so we might get it fixed in poppler if it's really not
