Two problems with this:
1. Even on 16.04 root folder populates with all downloaded/installed debs
2. I have aptly repo on ubuntu 14.04 and aptly cache gets deleted after 30 days
because of the /etc/cron.daily/apt cron job that has following lines:
Cache="/var/cache/apt/archives/"
eval
apt 1.0.1ubuntu2 for amd64 compiled on Jan 12 2016 20:13:58
Still with the same problem. The root folder populate with the
downloaded .debs.
Dir::Cache::archives should be able to be disabled for those who use
apt-chached-ng and want to prevent duplication on a virtualized
