To my big surprise, it worked with Kubuntu 12.04
So it is a clear regression, most probably caused by adding QMI support to
the kernel and to the ModemManager, also by ModemManager relying on newer QMI
versions than those provided by older modems, and by absence of testing
ModemManager on this

Changes" or "View Changes b/w (C)lean profiles" to see the added rules
and also the removed rules that are obsoleted by added rules.
Afterwards, abort instead of changing the profiles ;-)

Hi, I have been facing this problem for long time. Exactly since February 2014,
when I purchased ASUS X550 CA Notebook.
I purchased just with DOS(no operating system pre-installed) and started to
