After installing latest Kubuntu 18.04 daily ISO and upgrading to latest
packages, I've had problems with suspend functionality:
0- Kubuntu installed correctly.
1- From Plasma, choose "Suspend to memory". Screen goes off.
2- When I power on the notebook, it starts with Grub
This is still an issue in Ubuntu 16.04 up to the current date.
It is an interface bug, as Robin Sheat pointed out.

I have a different issue.
it happened in Arch linux, Manjaro, Ubuntu 18.04 beta. if I didn't
install the nvidia 390 driver, everything run smooth, after I installed
nvidia 390 driver, I have no problem with GUI, however, the system
doesn't turn off, restart itself properly. my monitor goes into
[Expired for openldap (Ubuntu) because there has been no activity for 60
days.]

network, but is not finding a suitable applicable driver to install via
gnome-control-center. Dell has an open-source driver and driver kit for
all their printers, all OSes applicable, so I do not see
