It happens regularly that my headset microphone stops working.
Sometimes I manage to get it back by unplugging it and replugging to another
USB port, sometimes it doesn't work.
It's really annoying.

How should I persistently bypass systemd-resolved ? The DNS failures are
causes other applications to fail. I'd like resolv.conf to update with
dhcp returned data for DNS servers, but, for the time being, I'd like
applications to talk to the upstream DNS servers until this issue is
resolved.

This specific case appears to have been fixed a while ago. I couldn't
find the specific commit, but running this test case in 20.04, an error
is printed in the terminal, but no exception is raised.
