It turns out the font files in our package are probably corrupt. I
tested with the files from the original source [0] and the problem
doesn't happen.
I also replaced the broken ones with the original ones, cleaned my font
cache and the problem appears to be gone.
Will try to find out when it
Inkscape and Atril both have the same print dialog. It looks like the
attached screenshot. Notice "Scale" is set to 101.5%. This is the only
way I can get either of them to print at the correct size.
LibreOffice has a different print dialog with no scaling options at all,
hence why I had to print

Even as a decade-old Ubuntu user this "The following packages have been
kept back:" was a UX nightmare for me. It took me several runs of
article reading, many unsuccessful "apt-mark showhold", breaking "apt
install X" runs and still no clue at all about the background on these
errors suddenly
