I replaced Ubuntu 19.04 with 18.04 LTS. The problem is still the same. 1. Power up computer 2. Ethernet icon does not show. "Wired..." does not show. No network access. 3. Restart computer (soft boot). 4. Ethernet icon returns as well as Internet access. Note: I ran apport-collect 1860806 AFTER

On a clean power on boot I ran: apport-cli -f -p network-manager --save 1860806.apport So this file contains (hopefully) the information needed while the machine is in the broken condition (only on fresh power-on). After restart (soft boot) to obtain Internet I ran: ubuntu-bug 1860806.apport I
