For this I've put an executable script in /etc/pm/sleep.d/ , but it is not
executed on resume.

Just tried once again with Ubuntu 14.10 live-CD on a usb stick and Gnome
was fast as always.

Graphics Slow After
I did a fresh install on an empty system without downloads (no internet
connection) and without restricted-extras.
Live-CD Gnome was fast as usual, rebooting into the installed system
left me with a slow desktop.

I don't understand how this bug can be 'invalid', when it perfectly describes
the symptoms on my fresh Ubuntu 14.10 installation.
It's discouraging to see that all commenters' effort to help identifing the
cause of the problem is dismissed with 'this is not a me-too bug'.

Same as #74: Running with Gnome 3.14 from gnome3-team PPA, everything
smooth now.

Once or twice a week *after* resume from suspend I can no longer use the
touchpad to movethe mouse pointer, mouse clicks are registered though.
Reloading module psmouse works as a workaround.

After switching back into Gnome session touchpad movement works again.

Whenever I operate a mouse and simultaneously use the touchscreen, the whole
user interface freezes:
- no mouse operation possible
- no keyboard operation
- video playback halts
- fan goes up
The duration of this freeze seems to be related to the amount of input,

Occasionally when I wakeup my notebook from suspend, no Wifi connection is
established:
- sometimes it is sufficient to toggle the Wifi block to reconnect
- once or twice a week I have to restart the network-manager to regain Wifi
connection.
