[Touch-packages] [Bug 1464321] Re: No sound output through docking station headphones jack for Dell Latitude E5450

2019-06-22 Thread Moe Zarella
Larry's solution works, but the downside is the laptop's internal
headphone/mic jacks and speaker is still muted when you undock it,
unless you switch back to Analog Stereo duplex manually. This was tested
with xubuntu 16.04 (x86) on a Dell D620 (Sigmatel Audio). Has anyone
found a solution to let the laptop switch between outputs automatically?
It even works with Win XP...

Thanks in advance.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1464321] Re: No sound output through docking station headphones jack for Dell Latitude E5450

2017-11-26 Thread Larry Brown
I have a Dell D630 Latitude laptop plugged into a Dell PR01X port
replicator/dock station. I have been struggling with this problem, too.
I solved my problem by changing the configuration in "Pulse Audio Volume
Control" from "Analog Duplex" to "Digital Stereo (IEC958) Output +
Analog Stereo Input". Playback through the audio headphone jack in the
dock station works.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1464321] Re: No sound output through docking station headphones jack for Dell Latitude E5450

2015-06-12 Thread Raymond
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/commit/src/modules/alsa/mixer/paths
/analog-output-
headphones.conf?id=594da41d07edcebc5fd319388852a66cc3f12ace

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/tree/src/modules/alsa/mixer/paths/analog-output-lineout.conf

if it is dock line out, look like you need to add

[Jack Dock Line Out]
required-any = any

otherwise you need to use hdajackretask to change dock line out to dock
headphone

2015-06-12 Thread mathematatin
The icon on the docking station looks like headphones. It does *not*
look like a headset or a line out. Attaching image.
