[Touch-packages] [Bug 1603904] Re: X apps that use dbus (GTK, Firefox) either don't start or take a very long time to start

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1604872 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1604872 Please excuse the mess of duplicate bugs. Strange, I'm running a fully updated Yakkety system and Firefox and Gtk apps start just fine in the Yakkety based Libertine container. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1603904] Re: X apps that use dbus (GTK, Firefox) either don't start or take a very long time to start
Confirmed there's a regression on 16.10 where dbus functionality is missing. This causes complex apps like Firefox and Nautilus/GTK apps to hang on start-up. But it doesn't impact simpler native X apps (like bitmap or xedit). ** Summary changed: - libertine apps don't work anymore + X apps that use dbus (GTK, Firefox) either don't start or take a very long time to start ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid ** Also affects: dbus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to dbus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1603904 Title: X apps that use dbus (GTK, Firefox) either don't start or take a very long time to start Status in Libertine: New Status in dbus package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in xorg-server package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: ubuntu 16.10 + proposed / unity8 - desktop x86 libertine apps don't work anymore attached are firefox and nautilus logs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/libertine/+bug/1603904/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
