For libmateweather, issue is fixed in 1.14.1, but I think I'll apply the patch from https://bugzilla.gnome.org/770321 (by Frank Dana) as well. It enables https and switches to the recommended method of data retrieval (as described in http://www.aviationweather.gov/dataserver/bestpractices). --
