Catching up... ctrl-x is not a good escape character, it's the "attention" key for emacs. The traditional (telnet) escape character is ctrl-right bracket (ascii 29) which as far as I know doesn't conflict with anything. Any strong opinions if I change it? (I've done it for now but can switch it ba
