Maybe it is related to the browser language setting and the Accept-Language HTTP header [1]_ [3]_ . If you could inspect requests , e.g. with a tool like Fiddler [1]_ , you could see the data the browser is sending on the wire (though I guess there should be something in the logs with the appropriate log/level set ...
