If the only reason for adding the suppression of the history is to make it
easier to get to the last message, that does not strike me as a good trade-off.
You can easily get to any message with a few keystrokes: End, then Up - whereas
with the change

My instinct would be to deliver them. Having a reasonably accurate record of
pushes/commits in a b.p.o has proven to be crucially important to me over the
years when I have to go back and investigate the history of some problem

At the PyCon Development sprints, I have helped two users with similar
problems: each had an older bugs.python.org username, then managed to
