Here is a working solution, but I admit I don't have the slightest idea

mythtranscode -m -e dvd -i cocco-bill.ts -o cocco-bill.mpg
The latter file (cocco-bill-mpg) is an MPEG-PS, with audio. The above
command took a couple of second to run.
