[translate-pootle] Escaping UNICODE characters in Java property files

2011-12-13 Thread Jason Pickering
Hi there. I have been continuing my adventure with Pootle, and have managed
to get things working more or less. Some of the other problems I was
experiencing before were related to invalid characters and various problems
with software dependencies. These seem to be resolved now. The last problem
I have is the fact that the property files (after sync_stores) are in UTF8
format, instead of in escaped UNICODE format. Is there a setting that I can
use to have Pootle export the property files with escaped characters
(i.e. \u00e9)?

Thanks and best regards,
Jason

Hi Jason

There is a setting for each project to set the file type. There is
support for both UTF-8 and escaped properties files. Does it work
correctly if you set it to Java Properties?

2011-12-13 Thread Jason Pickering
Hi Friedel,

I tried this, but when I created the project Pootle switched back to UTF8
even though I had selected Java property files (not the UTF8 one). The
files have already been escaped, and should contain only ASCII characters.

Best regards,

Jason
