Re: [translate-pootle] update_from_templates says: ERROR expected string or buffer
Op Do, 2011-04-28 om 17:51 +0200 skryf Carlo Capocasa: edit the localsettings.py file and set DEBUG=True Thanks Alaa! A chat on #pootle (many thanks to dwaynebailey) also revealed that pot2po can be called directly on several files with errorlevel=traceback to get more error detail for update_from_templates problems. The file also gets shown with the DEBUG=true output. I couldn't figure out what the corruption was, but I once I knew which file was involved was able to remove the corruption with pofilter --nonotes filename.xlf filename.xlf without being to invasive with the file formatting. Thanks for your collective help, dear Pootle community! I still have the files available, so you can let me know if they would be useful in debugging. Feel free to follow up with questions too. Debug output was: http://pastebin.com/QRybeY5s Pot2po Traceback was: http://pastebin.com/9TSkLXWx Hi Carlo Can you please upload the original problematic file to a bug report at http://bugs.locamotion.org please? I would like to check if I can duplicate the issue and maybe avoid a problem in future. [translate-pootle] update_from_templates says: ERROR expected string or buffer
Hi everyone, I'm using pootle for a larger project and it works great, everyone seems to get the UI right away. Thanks! There's one thing virtually preventing me from using it right now, and that's the following: When I do django-admin update_translation_projects --project=test --settings=pootle.settings I get 2011-04-28 16:04:59,028 INFO running update_from_templates over /it/test2/ 2011-04-28 16:05:00,424 INFO attemped to update /it/test2/contract.xlf while locked 2011-04-28 16:05:00,584 ERROR failed to run update_from_templates over /it/test2/: expected string or buffer For a one language on specific set of files. How can I get more output to debug it? Thanks!
