Re: [translate-pootle] 'tmxfile' object has no attribute 'parseheader'

 Hi,

I hope you can help with an issue I am experiencing when trying to use
 Pootle.

I have installed the software on Ubuntu, but when I try to load any TMX
file into a project I am seeing the following error: 'tmxfile' object
 has no attribute 'parseheader'

I have tried a few different TMX files (version 1.4/1.4b), and I have
also tried converting them to other formats such as XLIFF, but when I
load the converted file I see the same error.

I can't find anything on the web about this problem. Maybe I am missing
 some dependency or something?

Can you please provide us more information. For example which Pootle
version and why are you trying to load a TMX.

Thanks

 Best Regards,
 Derek Cusack

Thank you for your replies. Yes, the version is 2.7.0

I was hoping to build on the api to search TMX files for translations. Will TMX
files be supported soon?

This would be 2.7.0

We track revision numbers for offline translation. But we've only
implemented that for PO. Files like TMX, XLIFF and .ts don't yet have that
support. IIRC in 2.7.0 final the offline widgets are hidden for
unsupported file formats.

Just to make clear, do you mean you want Pootle to be able to use TMX
files as translation memory?

Bye

Can't give you a timeline there. We need a generic way to add the header
info that we need into the file or another way to track conflicts. Once
we've sorted that out we'll have a way ahead. But sorry no deadline as yet.
