While I personally think that changing it by hand is no big deal(I used to configure everything by hand-I ran Slackware) it is a usability issue. I'm not even sure how to begin tracking the issue though.

You probably meant this script that was written to turn Ubuntu 10.04 LTS into Trisquel 4.0 LTS. It should not be hard to update it... but every new proprietary software in Ubuntu's (main and restricted?) repositories must be listed.

The "jockey" method won't solve anything if the repositories don't have the drivers available in most of the cases :S... The better way is for you would be to see the reference of the Wifi Card and try to find a method to install the drivers since we can't provide help for non-free software

To edit the user account picture. Click on your name at the top right of the screen, and then click on the picture. A new window will appear. On this new window, click again on the picture an change your profile picture. Hope this helped

I am really under my depth with email configuration. But have you tried connecting your ethernet directly to the network? bypassing your router. Since it works in your uni and does not work in your home it might be the router is configured in some way? Sorry probably stating the obvious.

For those that wanted to know. Trisquel Gnome Classic now starts with Compiz Effects by default. With the same bugs as the Ubuntu 12.04 ones. I just hope they get corrected before the final release or I will have to use another DE like I did with Unity.
