I'm in Shanghai and attempting to download the mandarin language package
(simplified) from the Language Support center, but each time I attempt the
download, it tells me that my internet connection isn't working.
I know I have internet connection, since I'm sending this post etc...
I've found an antifeature in the soundcloud support of Nightingale. Many
tracks can not be downloaded. I guess adding a generic download feature would
violate the SoundCloud terms of use.

IBus is part of Trisquel's default install. However, I do not if the specific
input method you wish is installed (m17n is). You may want to search ibus
in the Synaptic package manager.
