Fresh Trisquel install from netinst. No DE installed, just Xorg and Awesome
- thus no PulseAudio.
From console alsamixer mplayer work as expected. Yet, from inside Xorg,
alsamixer returns cannot open mixer: No such file or directory, and no
sound from mplayer.
This goes against my
Serif fonts are said to be more legible on paper while Sans Serif is for any
type of screen. If the documentation is to be online online only, then maybe
keeping it at a Sans font is better. Even if a person prints the docs on
paper, it doesn't make the Sans font automatically unreadable.
Unless there are some dead plants that RMS can have nasal sex with, I doubt
he will be there. :-P
Actually, if you want to bring over the lts-generic-raring kernel (3.8)
cleaned up from Ubuntu 12.04, you should use
http://www.fsfla.org/svn/fsfla/software/linux-libre/scripts/deblob-3.8 as
your reference.
Getting the lts-generic-saucy kernel may have to come later as there is no

Hello,
I was trying to install Trisquel but what should I do when I see this error
message?

Best regards,

You should write that in Trisquel's wiki documentation.
Somebody locked the old topic where I shared fonts I'd found. Be sure to
peruse through that if your selection of libre typefaces is still Trisquel's
defaults.
To start, allow me to present a sans-serif companion to the font of the
decade Alegreya: Alegreya Sans.
Administrators, please
Clicking on the identi.ca feed read more link -
http://identi.ca/group/trisquel - returns an error.
Cannot GET /group/trisquel
The same applies to any of the notes which are included in most pages.
Done. :)
My English language is terrible but I did my best. Feel free to correct me.
I believe the problem may be spotted in those two lines of log:
Dec 9 16:08:08 trisquel ntfsresize: ERROR: Very rare fragmentation type
detected. Sorry, it's not supported yet.
Dec 9 16:08:08 trisquel ntfsresize: Try to defragment your NTFS, perhaps it
helps.
Follow the advice: defragment
All identi.ca groups disappeared with identi.ca's transition from StatusNet
to pump.io. This is out of Trisquel's control. But you're right, the links
on Trisquel's website should probably be removed.
I don't want Windows anymore on my laptop. What should I do then I see this
message? Click Yes or No?
Yes = format/erase all drives?

If you don't want windows at all, use the replace windows with Trisquel
option, let the installer delete and remake partitions.

Hello,
I tried with grml-rescueboot and was successful with Ubuntu and
Elementary images but with Trisquel nothing happened.
I also tried to manually add an entry for Trisquel but again I failed to
find a successful solution.
The image boots and install's in VM's so it's not the image.

Yes, there is a deblob-3.11. It lives in the same place, at
http://www.fsfla.org/svn/fsfla/software/linux-libre/scripts/deblob-3.11
Well I've changed my mind. If something goes wrong it's better for me to have
a Windows...
Do I really need to defragment whole disk :/?

I'm fairly new to Trisquel, and am considering getting more involved, but
have some questions about the project.
I've seen that there's a goal to have the funds to allow the core developer/s
to be employed fulltime on Trisquel.
Currently there are ~100 associate members. I don't know what
Welcome to freedom!
I met Bob Jonkman a few months ago!
He did a presentation on OwnCloud, at the Kwartzlab Software Freedom Day
event in Kitchener Ontario.

does this affect trisquel at all?
good, good.
Not at all.
Trisquel builds from source, so it doesn't.
What the fuck is going on with Canonical?
My bad bro. The directory listing for 3.11 at
http://www.fsfla.org/svn/fsfla/software/linux-libre/scripts/ was not listed
after 3.9 and missed it.
I reported an issue about it months ago:

Hey, guys. I'm really getting into the performance stuff, I downloaded the
mini version of Trisquel and I bought 4gb of RAM for my Optiplex 320 (which
is the most it can get) so, I was searching more things to do and I found
something very interesting, but I don't know, I tend to be a little
One thing I can assure, which is that, you can feel more comfortable reading
some sort of fonts. And perhaps that can make you feel like you desire to
read more, and you increase you overall performance XD at reading. Like
some sort of placebo effect.
It happens to me with this font, and I
I already found it! XD
The issue, as well as other website issues, have not been assigned to anyone
yet.

I beg to differ
Administrators, please don't lock this topic.
I think the software does it automagically. This is yet another reason to use
the wiki pages.
