Hi all!
I have new doubts about using free emails software/service. I said to my
personel friends that i was moving to another email. But what i do when is to
get jobs, for example, when companies says to delivers the curriculum when
they have gmail, hotmail or another proprietary service
Thanks a lot alguien! It is very interesting and helpfull indeed :D
I didnt know about pressing Ctrl + F. Amazing thing :P
E-mail is not something like Facebook, where you can only interact with other
users if you have a Facebook account too - there should be no problem about
this. The only thing you should care about is that the received files doesn't
need any proprietary software for opening. For this, tell

If you don't have 3d printer look at this tutorial.

For me, Trisquel 6 runs like lightening and error free. Not that I doubt V7
will be any worse but if it takes a year to get it there so be it. I install
so many other distros onto machines for testing that break with updates or
for other reasons, why should I risk this on my main PC just
Because I want to yuse all those new GTK+ themes.
And with all the madness that's showing in the different toolkits that is
somehow grouped under the GTK+3 umbrella that's actually a pretty legitamate
reason.
Not as legitimite as the reasons behind the wait 'till the bl**dy thing is
Thanks for the response.
You are true that a .js file is executed in your browser instead of the
server and therefore can be considered to fall under the same requirements as
if I were to run a program locally. When you refresh that site, the server
should give a 304 Not Modified message
I want to run Trisquel on a server, but in the past I was worried about the
stability of the project and releases. Technically, since Trisquel uses LTS
releases of Ubuntu, I have around 5 years of support and longer deadlines for
Trisquel releases don't hurt as much.
I'm sure most of you
Hi everybody,
First, sorry for my bad english (i'm french). :)
I searched to know if Trisquel would be ported on ARM.
I saw this topic: https://trisquel.info/en/forum/trisquel-arm , but it's
locked.
Since March 2014, Broadcomm gave open source pilots from its GPU (
Can you put that information in a wiki page?

Raspberry Pi doesn't boot without some binary blobs, so until that is fixed
there will be no Trisquel on the Raspberry Pi. Also there is no
Ubuntu-desktop version for the ARM architecture, on which Trsiquel is based..
Hello Bix!
The Raspberry Pi foundation recently released the code that communicates
directly with programs that a normal user can control (userspace code,) but
there is still some nonfree startup software (binary blob) at the hardware
level. I don't know how technically inclined you are,
Well, official support for the Raspberry Pi is at least not gonna happen
then. The blob would have to be included in the os, where as on your computer
the BIOS is already preinstalled and not included in the OS.
I am not saying it is worse, just that Trisquel won't include those blobs
Why is them accepting paypal an issue? Clearly it is just so they can accept
as many different people's favourites as possible.
I do not like paypal because they are based in luxembourg (which probably
means tax evasion)
I dont know the answer for your question davidnotcoulthard, but i hope
someone with more knowledge can help you. It is indeed a good question
because i am thinking about of OpenMailbox. Or maybe you can try a new post
about this issue.
See this: http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/6561. Broadcom recently
released the code, so I think it's now possible to run it without nonfree
software.
The Improv is another promising single-board computer that seems dedicated to
freedom. The only components which require nonfree
I agree. Especially since the STS versions of Ubuntu are now supported only
for a year.
GParted does not effectively do anything until you press the Apply button.
I believe you had to remove.resize the extended partition before increasing
/dev/sda1.
If I use a permissive license, then there's the concept of it not being
copyleft and the worry of a competing site taking my code and making it
non-free.
I cannot believe t3g wrote that! The exact same thing we wrote to him over
and over while he was criticizing the copyleft!
Done. I've also added the article to the indexes.
The announcement:

This is an incremental upgrade release which includes all of the
maintenance updates and bugfixes since the publication of Trisquel

Also congratulations and a big thanks to the devs for working on Trisquel!
