Give Geany a try, it's free/libre and just as lightweight. :)
`sudo apt install geany`
Dual booting with UEFI might be a bit tricky, but single booting is very
easy.
Plain GPL doesn't help much in the case of Web services.
Thank you so much man!
I couldn't be sure if the images provided by Igor are free or not, I couldn't
find sources.
Thanks to Icecat + Tor, he even started connecting to websites ^^
see his libreplanet speech.
I remember someone asking if it was ok if there will be an Italian forums
here. I think there is now, it's probably because I wasn't sure that what I
saw was Italian.
Yah; I filed that bug a long time ago, and it's still with us. Using
mousepad instead; give that a try.
Same to you, as well as to everyone! :D
I have an A13-OLinuXino-WIFI where I desoldered the WIFI chip. I have a port
of linux-libre for this processor and the bootloader is also free. I
installed Ubuntu Core in the flash memory which I use for compiling Trisquel
packages.
Is it? :-/
So this company - a 100% Filipino owned company (I'm Filipino too so I'm
happy that their site is like this) here in Dubai - has their site almost
compatible with IceCat. I actually will go tomorrow to their office for a
presentation, and I asked the girl I've talked with if there's an IT
Yeah it's been too buggy so I have been using emacs (learning how I guess).
Same to you :)
Is anyone doing any events?
I am trying to organize one around seattle
nice. I see the library freedom project.
Good job!
What did you use to change your voice? What software did you use to make
this?
I want to do things like this.
Yup! ;)
Good evening, I'm a new Trisquel user
I have a question: for my job I need a program easily available through the
site of Italian direct taxes and it works on all platforms, even on linux
through a script. The program is called Gerico, and it's necessary for the
Sector studies, for the
If the program is Libre then I would say go ahead! If not I would look for
another program that can also get the job done. However I know that isn't
always an option if the reason for using the software in the first place is a
requirement for your employment.
Hello.
Thanks for commenting, was starting to think that nobody cared about Torbirdy
:P
I am not particularly proud of that video, it's just a slideshow and the
voice is not the best, but I felt it was important to have a video that
explained things in a simple way for everybody. The Tor
I watched his speech today too. I cracked up laughing when he said that. It
took Tor years, but it finally managed to convince even RMS to use the web :P
However, if IceCat user agent is unique... hum, RMS might be pretty easy to
follow online, lol. How many people use IceCat with Tor? He
Dude!! I was gonna post now about that exactly model!! I have been
investating and want to buy one of those! But I was worried about some issues
with it (which version of the boot program came pre installed, how free was
the android pre installed, the wifi, etc).
Could you please please
Isn't he using a voice synthesizer? I think is the same that orca uses.
I know about ThinkPenguin and LibreTrend. Both are good projects. BUT none of
them have open BIOS, and none of them are as free and open like AllWinner
boards :)
Soon (a couple of months/years) we will be able to run GNU/Linux with full
GPU/VPU support for low cost!
i'm waiting
but the road should be more this way replicant , to start .
You can follow the Emacs tutorial that the Help menu proposes. It will
teach you the basics in 2-3 hours. You will become far more productive in
your computing... after a few weeks of brain adaptation (so that shortcuts
become reflexes). And there is far more to discover than the basics!

I too would have liked it to accept only libre licenses. Anyway, the MMDB is
currently broken, so most people (including me) use the forums.
The Minetest supplied by Debian already recommends the in-game “mod
store”. So, the one in Ubuntu and Trisquel repositories should be fine.
This all smells a bit fishy, like a Gamergate-esque attempt to demonize
anti-feminists by making them look unsavory and violent. I think there's
more going on here than simple trolling, and I encourage the community to be
wary. (As an aside, for those concerned that anti-feminists are
It's not a single board computer, but the Pocket Wee from Think Penguin is
very small and fully supports libre software (with pretty great specs to
boot!)

True, and that is private mode.
You are right.
If you are using GPL'd software on a server, it is no different than a
permissive license since you aren't required to release your changes. The
AGPL was created to fix this.

Security and anonymity are different things. Currently, Icecat is no
replacement to Tor. I believe there is a plan to make Icecat private mode go
through Tor though.
