Why do you start your threads with // ,?
Avoid Skylake (yes, avoid Skylake) and you should be fine graphics-wise.
wi-Fi, on the other handwell, a USB adapter ain't that bad!
onpon - you should post a link about it on the major decentralized social
platforms like gnusocial, diaspora etc..
I know many people on diaspora love free software and free culture and some
of them may help with donations I guess.
Format it nice and put a couple of shiny pictures from the
Yeah, I'll be busting out my old Diaspora account as well. First I'm making a
big level showing off most of the features of reTux and some possibilities of
things that can be done with them; hopefully that'll make it look more
interesting to people.
// , maybe..
Which program?
Greetings to everybody.
A few days ago I wondered how many women are part of the Trisquel's
community, what are their stories, experiences, what their main challenges
and aspirations, both in the field of free software, of course, the struggle
for gender equality too.
So I decided to
I should have been more careful, only 99% of what they sell is free software.
The remaining 1% does spoil the broth. (How come this sounds so familiar?)
// , I want to see whether I can install Trisquel 7.0 LTS Belenos on either
of these, the L512X or the MJVE2LL/A.
Has anyone had a go with these models, or models like them?
I know TriSquel is based on Debian, and Debian works on the Dell XPS L512X,
but I don't know whether anyone has
I have sent a mail to Ryan for including Tutanota.de in the list of approved
free software webmail systems.
Hopefully, he will get it from there.
// ,
Why is TriSquel's last release so old?
The major Linux distributions use a rolling release cycle, every 6 months,
9 months, or a year.
Does thinkpenguin.com still support Trisquel?
I ask because I noticed that the libre subdomain from
libre.thinkpenguin.com goes away once I visit
Wow. That warms my heart, it does.
Wow that's awesome, you made the game engine?? That's a compelling reason
indeed.
As for the storyline/characters, as stated it could be much more interesting
(to me). same for the graphics, they look amateurish (though most of the maps
look quite good).
For a first run, this is not so
Exactly. :) It will be available gratis if enough is raised, however.
the Daala team was dragging their feet What? Daala is a brand new design
different to almost all other modern video codecs and it aims to be a
generation ahead of H.265 and VP9. These things take time!
As i'm not very familiar with it, I'd like some help with the cvt command.
Did I succeed in adding a new reso to xrandr ? Can I now use it ?
Ah, so it won't be freely available, BUT there won't be restrictions
regarding redistribution, right?
Thank you, didn't see that one.
So it's distributing free software for a fee.
But not limiting it for obvious reasons here.
While proprietary software is limited in order to sell more.
But there's the potential for abuse, and the limit to fully use it.
What comes to mind is how to actually
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2489435,00.asp
Worth a laugh. I don't use their tech and if a gun was at my head to use
Java, thankfully there is OpenJDK.
Its a shame that VP9 hasn't caught on besides YouTube and even they try to
push H.264 when I have the WebM codecs. The only way to get me to force
YouTube to use VP9 instead of VP8 is to set media.mediasource.webm.enabled
to true in about:config.
Thank you for the help. I ran the lspci command and I can see that my
wireless card is Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless Network
Adapter (rev 01). Now what should I do to fix the issue?
Thanks to Broadcom for not playing ball you're going to have to acquire
another wifi adapter.
Here are a few excellent options
https://www.fsf.org/resources/hw/endorsement/respects-your-freedom
No free firmware for that wifi chip exists. I would recommend getting a
supported ath9k_htc (AR9271 or AR7010+AR928x) USB adapter. Options include
ThinkPenguin and Tehnoetic, which are guaranteed to work with free
drivers/firmware. You can also buy one elsewhere if you are sure of the
Its a shame that VP9 hasn't caught on
+1 to that. There's a bit of chicken-and-egg with those making stuff and
people being able to play stuff. Hence, that APT repo is intended to help
change some of that by helping to increase the number of people that can play
it. Here's hoping it helps.

a security measure to not have a c compiler?
Many thanks for your answers.
Are you taking any steps, apart from upgrading, like revoking your keys,
etc.?
Does thinkpenguin.com still support Trisquel?
you can ask on irc:
freenode
#trisquel
Why is TriSquel's last release so old?
Lack of manpower, ask quidam on IRC.
These things take time!
Indeed - I think t3g seriously underestimates the amount of work that is
involved in making a codec. These things are usually done over the span of
many years.
Take a look at the NetVC schedule -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daala#Schedule
This schedule is even
Basically not having anything you don't use is a security measure. And a
compiler gives a pretty uniquely useful tool for an attacker.
Have you read the manual page?man cvt
Looks like the name of your display is default, you probably should use
that instead of VGA1. I'm not very familiar with this stuff either but keep
trying!
libre.thinkpenguin.com doesn't just redirect you to www.thinkpenguin.com, it
also sets a cookie and adds an item to your shopping cart to facilitate the
effects of it. It's a design simplification they have, and it does prevent
you from using that domain to link to specific products
It is old as you put it because Trisquel follows the Ubuntu LTS releases.
The latest one of those is Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr.) This is what
Trisquel is based on. So it is the latest one. The next one will be Ubuntu
16.04 LTS (Xenial Xantus) in April 2016. Because. It's. Every. Two.
Well, Red Hat is one giant example, a billion dollar free software company.
However you can also download their product for free under the name CentOS.
(Redhat does alot of business I understand with the us gov. And looks like
Red Hat started sponsoring CentOS in 2014.)
I've extended the list explaining what distinguishes reTux from SuperTux.
Does that help?
I heard of Löve, and (probably easier) Gdevelop (but probably not as
memory-friendly). What do you think of these?
if your programming in lua i think luasdl2 is the best game library for
making a game engine anyway
It indeed does help.
Maybe you can get a volunteer artist to make a mockup (is this how it's
called?) of a leveldesign that he would create if the goal is reached.
Just one picture, really stunning;
even better would be a whole level or maybe just a part of the level with
this new design
Thanks for the suggestions!
Besides, how do you currently promote your campaign? Just the trisquel
forum?
So far I've posted a link here and on FreeGameDev.net. I'm planning on also
posting a link on GameDev.net at some point.
To my knowledge: RedHat doesn't sell free software. They sell non-free
software which is open source, not free software. So, that doesn't
qualify as selling free software. See:
https://www.gnu.org/distros/common-distros.en.html#RedHat
Respectfully, Adonay.
Have a nice day.

There are actually several people from Mozilla working on it. Now there's
help from Cisco too and others. So while there's an army of people working on
it, it'll still take years. Opus had people from Mozilla, Microsoft,
Broadcom, and etc. and despite that army of people it still took five

Yes, it seems Tutanota is already under review. If you view the source code
of the FSF page (https://www.fsf.org/resources/webmail-systems), you'll see a
section that's commented out - lines 369-395. This is what they say about

Ah, well I need to update what I've said. In browsing the NetVC stuff [0] in
more depth I see they have a milestone goal to have a reference
implementation of an encoder and decoder in a little under two years, in May
2017. Not bad.

Yes, now it's time to tell people to avoid Skylake and later, instead of just
saying to go with Intel.

After an update of a program it requires now the libstdc++6 packet in the
version 4.9 or higher. But in the trisquel repositories is the highest
version 4.8.2.
I see, so same should be about CentOS. It's the same source code, but it's
not exactly the same team in charge.
an FAQ about Free software/Free culture values would be a nice addition in
