There isn't a particular distribution of partitions that is mandated. The partition that /boot is located in is the only one that matters to the boot loader. As jxself mentioned, non-Libreboot systems need to leave /boot unencrypted, so /boot should be its own partition to minimize that. You

I think one of your problems is you're using IceCat and LibreJS. You shouldn't do that. You should use the Tor Browser Bundle. Go to the security settings and choose one of the security levels that disables JavaScript entirely.

Not for me. When I visit thepiratebay.se for example, I'm presented with a cloudflare captcha screen that I cannot pass, because there's no captcha given. It's like this for a ton of sites, not just torrenting sites.

I'm running Gnu Icecat in private mode, so Tor is running and so is LibreJS. I cannot use any of the torrenting sites to search files or get the magnet link. Anyone know of any sites that will work around that?

It's easy: In the netinstall select "Use entire disk and set up encrypted LVM" (or words to that effect.) And Ta Da, everything is encrypted except for /boot. That can't be unless you have libreboot because proprietary BIOSes do not normally include supported for reading encrypted boot

how would I go about paritioning everything, var, root, lib, dev, etc, usr and beyond... I have 209 gb on my x200. I have libreboot and I wondered, What is the best way to set it all up? and what pitfalls to watch out for if i were to use boot in the encrypting process.

I have the same issue when my laptop is on and off it's base (connected to DVI). Didn't go through the issue yet, but I want to try to refresh xrandr, if that makes sense. The reason is it's always right when I turn the laptop on. It doesn't when I try to put it on or off the base/DVI

For encryption, the more random the passphrase is, the stronger the encryption. For a root password this might not matter as much. But if you have someone trying to brute-force it, then random becomes very valuable indeed. Allow me to refer to the Diceware FAQ:

I want to know how to activate whatever takes care of the multi-screen display. If my laptop is already on and plug in the vga cable to the projector, nothing happens. ONLY when i turn the computer on with the vga cable plugged in is when the multi screen happens.

It takes a while for Trisquel to prepare a new release, after releasing Ubuntu LTS image. Uruk is based on Trisquel, so it is again going to take some more time. So it will take more time for Uruk users to get their hands on new stable software packages.
