I'm not sure about OpenDNS, used to be independent, now belongs to Cisco, and yes, it does block sites, you will have to use one of their paid services to be uncensored. But like you say, if you have kids it might be better. H, debian.org works fine for me here.

Thanks jodiendo ! My ip address is dynamic, I've never felt the need to have a static one. Currently still using dns.watch , but opennic sounds interesting, although I'm not sure how reliable it is (uptime).

Not just Devuan, but asking for help of Parabola also depends on here. For Debian I also prefer getting help here, which Trisquel is a Debian derivative, but you are needed to be advanced in questioning skills under the Debian forums, even though the system itself is newbies friendly.

I have got the same X200 laptop from Vikings. It is different from yours because Trisquel (preinstalled) comes whith libre kernel 4.13.X from FSFLA "by default". But when I press Fn+"moon" it shutdown. Then I have to press again Fn+"moon" to reinitate... It doesn't work...

Suspend and hibernate work on my librebooted ThinkPad x60 running Trisquel 8. Both worked with Trisquel 7 too.

My eBay special librebooted T400 suspends. I can't remember if I've ever needed to hibernate it. Hibernate works fine for me on T7 with 64bit factory BIOS Thinkpads and was always such an iffy matter on X60 tablets that I honestly don't remember if librebooting my own made it better or worse.
