Does anyone have similar experience of oversensitive touchpad settings with T9?

I am using two instances of Trisquel 8.0, one recently installed, the other one
installed shortly after its release. On the latter, only the "Home", "Desktop"
and "Documents" shortcuts are available in the Places menu of the menu bar. On
the other one, only "Home" and "Desktop" are available.

This happened while trying to get Trisquel 9.0 (amd64) through
