Haven't tried with Trisquel but it should be the same.
If you get an x60 or x60s it must have the right lcd screen.

Do you have a different hard drive you could try? My Mrs had a similar issue
and changing the hd sorted it right out.

This is the current method to disable completely:
gsettings set org.gnome.Epiphany.web enable-javascript false
I have tried that but the newer version of epiphany does not support those
extensions.

I did just now install IceDove 38 in a Trisquel VM and had no problem
connecting to openmailbox.
