I've installed it from a live cd and it works well for me. No Pidgin or
Icedove but I assume more refinements will come :-)
Is there a difference with data erasure on a "standard" hard drive compared
to a solid state hard drive?

When I feel the "need" to access the website I can use a Trisquel 6.01 live
dvd that is "not updated". Happy hacking!
When I force Abrowser version 19.0 over 41.0 (Packages installed during
upgrade: abrowser-globalmenu, xul-ext-ubufox) login successful.
Fails consistently on upgraded 6.01. Consistently successful on 6.01 without
upgrades.
Upgraded packages (Abrowser version 28.0 to 41.0): libnspr4, libnss3,
libnss3-3d.
When I try to force earlier versions of these packages, Abrowser is
completely removed and has to be reinstalled.
I'm running Trisquel 6.01. I will try a 7.0 live dvd and see if that makes a
difference.

rocket scientist by any stretch of the imagination.

Perhaps try right clicking on the task bar.
Click Add to Panel, then click Indicator Applet or Indicator Applet
Complete.
To remove these, hover your cursor over the offending applet, hold down the
super (windows) button and the alt button, then right click.
You should have two options: Move or Remove from panel.
Give that a try.

I did not clear my history. This problem, for me, stopped when I installed a
new hard drive. Strange I know, but there you have it. The installer (run
when using the live cd) also didn't work properly until I installed the new
hard drive. Perplexing..
I am insane, or can a faulty hard drive cause this kind of program specific

Hello All! I've been trying to install Trisquel 6.01 using the installer
while running the live cd. It won't recognize my harddrive (the area where
you would choose the partition to install to is blank).
Other distro's do recognize the hard drive.
Any ideas?

Hello Legimet. It seemed that gNewSense would recognize the drive and allow
installation of the operating system (but grub did not see the other
operating system I had installed) but Ubuntu would not. I installed another
hard drive, and the installer worked correctly. For this reason I
I've upgraded to Abrowser 29.0 and everything works correctly (windows and
tabs restored correctly).
So it seems I have a 250GB paperweight! Seems odd but there you go. All is
well.
I've since replace the hard drive, and all is well.
sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak are present. Windows and tabs restore
as they should.
Anyone need a 250GB paperweight? lol!

the profile directory, and the tabs are not saved.
I just burned a new copy of Trisquel 6.01. The default Abrowser is 28.0. It
works for me. I upgraded to 29.0. It still works.
I'm going to reinstall Trisquel and see if that fixes the issue.

Well, it seems the installer on the live dvd is still not recognizing my hard
drive, although gparted does. I didn not reinstall as of yet.

Sorry, not enough information! It's an arm processor, Exynos 5250 Dual Core,
2GB RAM and 16GB flash storage. icarolongo, your're spot on! I know it will
run ubuntu alongside chrome os, but would greatly prefer Trisquel.
