"It doesn't have HDMI, only VGA" There are VGA to HDMI adapters. The usually also come with an audio plug so that the audio & video then get combined into the HDMI signal with the adapter (since HDMI bundles audio and video) and then shipped out through the adapter.

Thanks for the reply. My laptop is a Librebooted T400. It doesn't have HDMI, only VGA, which is what I use. But I was hoping to get a "no cables" solution. I will try looking into that aethercast thing you mentioned. Thanks. Any other options?

Hey, So, I know smartphones can use Wifi and connect to a HDMI adapter that sends the image to a TV screen wirelessly. Does Trisquel work with some of those devices, meaning, only Free Software solutions? Also, is the stream somehow encrypted or can the wireless router "see" what I seeing i
