I managed to put a wallpaper with Nitrogen follows the screenshot. In the autostart file, you need to set the path for the wallpaper file like this: nitrogen ~ / Pictures Thank you all for help.

My openbox user personal opinion. The beauty of openbox it’s to use this windows manager without nothing. You can choose the open applications with the key “Alt+Tab” (you can change it in .config/openbox/rc.xml I use “Ctrl+Tab” in my laptop) without panel you will need to replace

I use the tint2 panel and change backgrounds with nitrogen on openbox. Both are in the repos. To change the openbox menu, edit ~/.config/openbox/menu.xml

There are many ways to install packages (apt-get, aptitude, synaptic) e.g.sudo apt-get install tint2 nitrogen You can edit the file with any text editor you prefer. (e.g. nano or leafpad) You might want to make a backup copy of it first.

Thanks for the tips Lembas. Only I do not know how to install tint2 and nitrogen? It prerciso is in Openbox to these facilities? And how should I change the openbox menu, ~ / .config / openbox / menu.xml ?? It will be the first time that these changes do why I am with those doubts.
