I'm afraid I just get a blinking cursor...
my wifi plugin on trisquel xfce doesn't appear, any fixes?
The plugin itself doesn't appear on the desktop...which is very odd...
Your wifi plugin? What wifi plugin? What is it called?
I dont use wifi but this maybe helps?
sudo apt-get install xfce4-indicator-plugin network-manager-plugin
that problem is solved but now one more remains, i cannot connect to wifi in
xfce. It rejects the connection. and what's more when i check to configure
settings everything is blocked off!
any thoughts?
Hope this helps :)

I can't tell you whether the fact that you may be missing free firmware that
would prevent it from being displayed
sudo apt-get install network-manager-gnome
If there is still no applet in the panel, open the terminal and write:
nm-applet
Make sure Network (nm-applet) is set to start automagically in "Session &
Startup"
CalmStorm may you open another thread:)
You don't give many details eitherrouter
WPA settings firewall passwd ect
# iwconfig
$ iwconfig --help
