You can try here with Abrowser 23:

Recently I played this MP3 in Starpage. It works perfectly without any plugin
or addon in Abrowser 23.

It seems almost everyone here still don't fully understand the situation.
I'll try to clarify.
Firefox (Abrowser) since recently can play some patent-encumbered formats.
This includes H.264 encoded videos. For example, it is able to play the MP4
videos of Youtube. Try it and you'll see

There's nothing inherently wrong with supporting patented formats (though in
practice, I'm guessing Firefox Mobile ends up using nonfree software for the
purpose), but it could be useful strategic pressure to not support certain
formats.
Any society is composed of individuals. If the many of individuals harmed,
then this is harm to the Society.
And I think you don't understand the seriousness of the consequences for the
economy, if the small IT-business will be strangled.
No, but individual people aren't "high tech" (as you put it). Combined,
they're about as important to the giant as the giant's little toe.
Is high tech is just " a little finger"?
Strangely, it seemed to me that ya are not living in the Stone Age.(sarcasm)
Why assume that? You don't say that a huge giant dies just because its little
toe has been crushed.
If even high-tech analog of wheel can be patented, then abandoning of MP3(and
others patented formats) will not make even slight difference.

How would the world be a better place if nobody put any thought in how their

pollution incidents we have are because some company dumped its wastes in a
river or lake or ocean somewhere with no regard for what could happen
Our web browser without a name (Abrowser, a Firefox derivative that does not
recommend non-free software) now comes with shiny new features, like full
html5 video support (webm, h264 and other formats) that allow to use sites

This seems like a rather shortsighted view of things. Most people don't live
in a vacuum and things that are published online are usually available to
everyone all over the world. Therefore, someone's decision of what format t
Yes. But on other hand, Mozilla should not pay for using mp3-related patents.
That is a saving of money.
And they don't make a penny from somebody using oggs or flacs.
What are you talking about?
"Patent encumbered formats are bad for the WWW"
I don`t care. In my country no such thing as "software patent".
And I think really reason is greediness of Mozilla.
How commercial company, Mozilla think about money.
Recent versions of Firefox (Abrowser) are able to play some patent encumbered
formats. The current Trisquel's version of Abrowser also plays some patent
encumbered formats. Abrowser does this using GStreamer.
At the same time, Abrowser doesn't play other patent encumbered formats.

Oh, really?
I tried nighly builds, Aurora, Firefox Beta. But mp3 not work in HTML5.
I think we confuse two different problem.
http://fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger/test.html
MP3 playing just fine, but is not what I want.
I need mp3 support in HTML5.
And html5test.com not see any mp3 support.
I'm guessing it's a bug then.
Most Browsers need GStreamer, so an MP3 plugin for GStreamer must be
installed.
These plugins are not installed by default, because of Software patents.
"Other browsers use external multimedia frameworks such as GStreamer."
And Abrowser too.
My Abrowser compiled with --enable-gstreamer option.
Nighly builds of Firefox should support 264 aac and mp3.
In some countries you cannot distribute this version because of Software
patents.
For SoundCloud I use Midori (a free browser with Apple WebKit) with user
agent set to iPad. With other user agent flash is required.
Midori doesn't use "Apple WebKit". It uses WebKitGTK+ (which is similar but
not the same).
Other browsers use external multimedia frameworks such as GStreamer. Mozilla
based browsers do not use external media frameworks, so in order to play back
MP3 format Mozilla would need a patent license.
1.Then why Uzbl support mp3?
2.Is patent on mp3 decoding not expired yet?
Abrowser only supports royalty free formats in HTML5 such as Vorbis, Opus,
Theora and VP8.
For example, Uzbl have mp3 support in html5.
But I prefer Abrowser.
