Yes, and it's probably the better option, since it has an integrated animation program inside. The other one I was thinking of was Grafx2.

I have the idea of using wacom tablets, for fast sketch/draw and ilustration, not for editing image or adding layers. Maybe i wrong on this.

I using mypaint on Thinkpad x200t, works perfect, but not so advances as GIMP or similar.

Krita is probably the best free tool to "draw from scratch". I normally use GIMP with Gimp Paint Studio add-on, because that's what I've used for years and feel comfortable with, but I'm planing on switching to Krita, as GIMP is more oriented to photo editing. Mypaint is great for fast
