LLVM is absolutely something to be concerned about. It's permissively

That is not a Trisquel repository. It is a PPA. And it does not have packages
for trusty: see http://ppa.launchpad.net/texlive-backports/ppa/ubuntu/dists/
You should be able to remove that PPA with the following command:
$ sudo add-apt-repository -r ppa:texlive-backports/ppa
have you tried running make install insted of make?
this will install the program from source just like
sudo apt-get install program_name would
