If it's what I'm thinking, then this is a known bug in Ubuntu and Trisquel,
related to the swap partition. Perhaps someone here in the forums knows a
fix?
I was having the same problem in Ubuntu before switching to Trisquel. When I
installed Trisquel I deliberately didn't encrypt because
Could you please provide some links for those think client computer you
mentioned?
Thanks.
You should search for it locally. The availability and price will depend on
where you look.
I found this for about 42€, but without a power adapter.

I should note that using that website to convert a video is SaaSS (Service as
a Software Substitute), and should be avoided:

Hi tomlukeywood, the conversion to OGG or WebM is quite easy with ffmpeg or
libav-tools. FFmepg can be found in Trisquel 6 repositories and libav-tools
is available in Trisquel 7 repositories.
So the command lines for installation are :
- for FFmpeg
sudo apt-get install ffmpeg
- for
thanks for the replys i have found transmagedon video transcoder
seems to be working but i am currently on a x60 thinkpad with a 1.66ghz
single core cpu with 2gb of ram
and its doing about 1mb per 2 minits :(
so i will wait until i get back home with my 8 core i7 cpu
and 16gb of ram!
Install the gnupg2 package.
It not so much that they removed it; Ubiquity isn't derived from Debian's
installer. It's just that they didn't add it in to Ubiquity.
Anyway, if you want to do it, you can just use the shred command on the HDD
before installing.
Thank you, Calinou!
The FSF has a dedicated page for your question:

The version of Transmageddon in Trisquel 7 doesn't support VP9 yet.
If for example I have a beagle board that uses no GPU blobs and run android,
that means I am running a 100% free machine?? How secure would these be?
by android do you mean replicant(libre android)?
if you run any enitrely libre software it will dramaticly improve security
over a non-libre
VP9 is better than both VP8 and Fedora. It's 2015, we can afford to use it
now.
I wonder if I can play http://worldoftanks.eu/ with wine in trisquel.
and if I can play http://warthunder.com/en/ which is a Linux game.
thanks for the support that has given me.
well..don't use add/remove apps - the app is flawed anyway. Use synaptics or
better yet the terminal and aptitude search and apt-get install..
Can we? Do you have any time to report (e.g., to encode a one-hour 720p
video)?
I tried the instructions in the link but unfortunately it doesn't work for
me.
Neither of those games is free software. You will not receive here any
support to install them.
where can I find non proprietary graphic drivers for amd and nvidia?
On their respective websites.
Don't, though. Please, just don't.
I do not want to install support.
just wanted to know it is possible to play in trisquel or not.
in the respective site have proprietary drives .
I just wondered if there drives non proprietary without firmware etc..
but thanks anyway.
Additionally, I'd recommend scaling the video down if you recorded it in
1080p. This can be done easily in avconv/ffmpeg (read the manpage.)
Whatever app is associated with Abrowser, whenever I try to open an MP4 video
from an HTML file, Abroswer's app insists that the video file is corrupt.
However, when I save the video file to my Documents folder, Mplayer runs it
just fine. So does *indows 7, for that matter.
But I've not
LibrePlanet is almost over! Karen's talk upcoming! :D Looking forward to
coming to next year's LibrePlanet.
I'm not sure why a website for a video game, libre or not, would link to any
graphics drivers. It's not typically something you have to worry about. Even
in the case of Windows, computers shipped with it are typically also shipped
with whatever drivers are needed for the hardware that is a
These drivers are free, but they need nonfree firmware.

Before this, my system would ask for root password every time I would do a
sudo task - which was weird because I don't remember setting up a root
password at installation. I believe I was intercepted or cracked, I don't
know, it's possible. I then decided to encrypt my system (I pretty much
Back when I was using Trisquel 6, I used the bypass script by leny2010, found
in a comment under the bug report. It seems the script just gets rid of
(technically, moves) a bunch of changelog files.
Well, they do not need the firmware for everything. But without the
firmware, several features simply do not work. 3D acceleration for
instance...
How was LP guys? I bet everyone's at the party venue drinking and stuff! :D
I know, that's the link I posted in my own thread... But it doesn't have all
the answers I am looking for.
That's why I created this thread.
Pixel count doesn't tells one much about image quality. For video, it's even
less meaningful. Search about “megapixel myth”. Most cameras store video
at 1920×1080 or below (even if the sensor takes more samples) which is ~2.1
millions of pixels.
Bear in mind that pixel count is just the

Can anyone explain the TEST INSTALL options, maybe I need to give some
kind of argument to proceed with these two components of the system. Any
ideas of what kind of argument? Like I said, the rest of the components were
installed fine seemingly.
