Looks like some sort of a GNU/Linux distro with emulators for games. I see no
indications it's free and as such we're not supposed to link to it.
He had a presentation in Ortigas a few days ago, but he still has a few
more in the next few days.

Too bad I couldn't go to the first one because the
some of these manufacturers make single board computers customizable on

I think they can do completely 100% free.

Hey man. For what it's worth I'm Filipino too, residing in the homeland.
Heard a rumor that RMS is here now, but haven't checked.
I don't think that's viable. You see, AllWinner will keep making some of
their boards as long as there is a 5 units order. You can't possibly get
that in a single forum. Maybe if the FSF did it together with the EFF. But
they don't go with that kind of thing very much...
On the other
if it is libre
it would still have by the looks of it non-free rom data
but if these games are not directly included in the distro i could be libre
What the heck?! RMS has been staying in PH for a while now? He might have
pictures in his personal site already :D
He is actually. I bet his first presentation was the one from Rights Con
Asia, which happened last week.
Hey cool! Nice to see you guys! Well good for you guys you're in The
Philippines. I'm not. I badly want to see pictures and videos of Jacob
Appelbaum - and Tor people - and RMS from Rights Con Asia. What do you guys
think of having a Filipino forums here? That'd be really awesome! How is

it will be fixed in the next release of trisquel (Trisquel 7.1).

Hello,
I'm having a slight problem with my installation of Trisquel 7 where I can't
access Network Manager. I'm trying to set up a VPN, which I've been able to
do successfully in the past, but for some reason I get an error message now,
see attached image.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.
is there a direct download to the source?
Try getting the .7z Plug in and play version from here:
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.7.5.html
In theory you should be able to simply extract the archive and run the .exe
file using Wine :)
The source is included in the .iso.
The engine source is in darkplacesblablabla.zip.
The gamecode source is in /data/zz9blablabla.pk3
(qcsrc etc). So you allready have it :)
Source for the media (.blender files) is in the git repo on the page. The
sourcecode also exists in the git
thanks!
i can run it in wine
but i want to beable to compile it as if you can only compile it on a
non-free os(windows)
its not free software
i would need to compile n++ on a libre os like mikeos, libertybsd or
gnu/linux
Awesome! Thanks.
for me I use emacs its tru os haha
:)
Great talk so far!
I'm very curious for the rest.

I actually downloaded the game and I do enjoy it, very much. I liked the
best when the server is fully loaded. Lots of actions. Thank You.
I had heard of https://www.riscosopen.org as well.
Thank you for sharing this :-)
Thanks magic banana. While I was also tempted on doing a apt-get install from
the terminal I was a bit worried about installing it that way on sugar on
Toast.
The instructions for installing activities on Sugar are slightly different:
Thank You, I appreciate that. I still think the whitelisting approach is the
best one. Also having a simple method of controlling traffic is great for
someone like me who is struggling to understand, or learn iptables. I'll
watch the git, and see if the project is getting regular updates.
Thank you Ruben! Thank you for allowing your conscience to influence your
development, for instance retaining the ability to disable javascript from
the settings menu, instead of requiring users to use about:config every time
they want to disable it. Thank you so much for continuing
Oh, and I should have said - they tell you up front it's built on the
Gigabyte Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H motherboard. So if you can build your own
from components sourced locally if like me you aren't worried about coreboot
compatibility.
Hello All,
This recent publication might be helpful for others:

Even being compiled on Wine with MinGW would be fine. Being compiled with
MSVC, though...
I am currently looking at Bananian (www.bananian.org) which I can't really
grasp if is fully free or blobed down.
Do you guys think the linux-libre scripts will work in armhf kernel?
For nine years now I've bought my desktops as components. A couple of weeks
ago I looked on cclonline.com, the best known dealer in my
county/province/state who does components, for all the bits for a new PC and
noticed they'd started doing [GNU/]Linux PCs. After checking with them it

No problem. As per open hardware have a look at https://h-node.org some of
the platinum category hardware is actually not too expensive.
Yes, blocking all by default and accepting each one request is safer... but I
am not sure if it will be simpler.
Anyway, that would avoid some stupid mistakes like running Tor and opening
links in regular browser :P
Maybe you can use an old netbook as a thin client SOC. It will spend a bit
more electricity but if you remove all the casing and maybe look into not
turning on the wifi and the screen you might lower the energy consumption
To check freedom compatiblity use h-node:
is risc os libre software?
