These videos have a scrambled (not even encrypted, really) ID used in place of the 'real' video ID in their video page, requiring a separate proprietary script be downloaded and run from YouTube; thus, these videos are 'off-limits' until it becomes feasible to reverse engineer the algorithm used. *HOWEVER*, this only affects those videos which use it- likely music videos/movies in most cases, which means most should work fine. Also lost are the ability to log in to iQiyi, and the integrated update command. The former is for reasons of freedom also, as it requires executing some 'SDK' script downloaded from their site in order to authenticate the user. Although it might be naive to presume they were above corporate greed, they did show leadership in 'open-sourcing' Android- surely not being totally oblivious to what potential profits it could bring- and even acquiring YouTube, given the lack of copy protection in the service (in 2007, anyway). Perhaps I'm exaggerating the risk-taking and forward-thinking mindset exhibited. Even if so, though, it's sad to see how 'corporate' they are now, with the fabled '20% on work, 80% on your own projects' policy perhaps the last remaining monument to their innovation-prone startup origins.
[Trisquel-users] installation help
I am trying to install Trisquel 7.0 on my ThinkPad x60 from a USB stick. I was able to boot and select "try without installing" and everything worked fine (except wifi, so I got the ThinkPenguin external wifi card and now that works too). However, I have had trouble actually installing it. I've spent a few days trying with a couple different USB sticks with several bootable USB creators and with various options in the Trisquel installer, and this is the combination that got me furthest before the installer crashed. -32 bit ISO downloaded from the FSF mirror -used Universal USB Installer on Windows 7 -used a 64GB SandDisk Cruz USB drive -was connected to internet during install -did not select "download updates while installing" -erased disk to install Trisquel -did not encrypt installation or select Logical Volume Management -selected "require my password to log in" but did not encrypt home folder The installer made it to "removing extra packages" and then crashed, saying "after you close this window, we'll allow you to file a bug report using the integrated bug reporting tool" but this didn't happen when I closed the window; it just attempted to reboot, so I don't know what the specific error is. After closing the window I did see a "low on disk space" warning, which I got on several other install attempts as well. It attempted the reboot before I could really read it, but the remaining disk space was in the order of MB. When I previously got this warning I assumed it referred to disk space on the USB stick, since the warning was outside of the installer, which is why I switched to a 64GB USB stick from an 8GB one, but perhaps I misunderstood. Any ideas as to what could be causing the problem? I'm excited to use the distro once I can finally get it installed. Thanks!

Hello everyone. After all i gotta say that I’m running Trisquel Belenos 7.0, kernel 3.13, x86_64 on a VirtualBox 5.1.22. Well folks this is the trouble. After an update, a message appear just after the login: “Could not apply the stored configuration for monitors none of the selected modes were compatible with the possible modes: Trying modes for CRTC…” In the first attemp I tried to install the VirtualBox Guest Addition but simpply fail. This is the log message: “/opt/VboxGuestAdditions-5.1.22/src/vboxguest-5.1.22/buid_in_tmp: 67 /opt/ VBoxgGuestAdditions-5.1.22/src/vboxguest-5.1.22/build_in-.tmp: make: not found ” And this other: “vboxadd.sh: failed: Look at /var/log/vboxadd-install.log to find out what went wrong. vboxadd.sh: failed: Look at /var/log/vboxadd-install.log to find out what went wrong. vboxadd.sh: failed: modprobe vboxguest failed.” The second attemp was to try to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf , as this post explain it https://trisquel.info/en/forum/monitor-resolution-complete-beginner but doesn’t work and actually get the things worse becase the GUI session stop working. The xdrandr show this message “Failed to get size of gamma for output default Screen 0: mínimum 640 x 480, current 640 x 480, máximum 640 x 480 Default connected primary 640x480+0+0 0mm x 0mm 640x480 73.0* “ Any suggestion?

I really going to speak on my experience, Most of the freedos programs I have installed are gpl license. Yet when compiling freedos is different from ms-dos in other and many aspectd than ms-dos. You will not see it until you have try it. remenber it is not a linuz-gnu program.

If I told you that I know a computer programmer and then I told you that he has never has touched a computer, nor ever will do, would you believe that he is really a programmer?. Of course not. That is utterly absurd. Such is the absurdity of saying that Ada Byron was the first programmer. Recall that at the time of Ada Byron, no computers existed. The first computers (I do not mean simple single-purpose calculators like Pascal's mechanical calculator, but machines capable of universal computation) were built in the 1940s. At the time of Ada Byron, in the 19th century, the concept of computing had not even been defined, let alone implemented. Why is this absurdity perpetuated, that Ada Byron was "the first programmer"? Because that is the multiculturalism herd want you to believe to advance their anti-men agenda. They want you to believe that we are all equal, at least in capabilities, while in fact we are not. Any reasonable person who takes just glance at the names of the most important mathematicians, physicists, the top Go or Chess players will realize that virtually all of them are men. The male sex has demonstrated through history that it is more capable both intellectualy and physically than the female sex. And no, it is not a matter of being in power (even if there was, it is a demonstration of capability to be in that place): why are there are women-only Chess and Go tournaments but no important tournaments allows only men to enter? Because when there are no sex restrictions, men dominate. Women simply can not match the male intellectual capability. Аs for the physical aspect, take a look at the top ranks in sports, for example, Olympic records. Not even with anabolic drugs can women match the prowess of their male counterparts (although they compete separate, the times/distances/etc. can be compared). This undermines the multiculturalist agenda, for they want no group (especially men or white people) to be more successful than the mediocre average, and for this, they spread the lie that no group is more capable than average. They find such a relief in this lie, this false "victory" is so good for them, that it does not matter for them that it is not true. "Lisa" is yet another serial liar (in quotes because being such a liar I can not even assume he's telling the truth about his real name). He lied in his work: He raised 2 false accusations, first from harassment, and then from unjustified hiring; he lies about his sex. Lisa is a professional lier who takes advantage of his "marginalized minority" status to play the victim role for personal profit. His newest trick is to beg for money supposedly to pay a quack to mutilate his genitals into a deep injury that struggles to close itself. Probably he pretends to call this injury a "vagina" and prevent it from closing by introducing foreign objects on it. Probably he just says he is trans for the attention and victim status, although only he knows for sure. You can see from the photos he does not even make a serious attempt to look as a woman. I helped a friend when he needed it who has a feminine appearance despite being male. She/he is not a liar. She is sincere that has this appearance because he likes the look of women as a straight male and has decided to embody his standard of beauty himself. He does not pretend to be "a woman born as a man", nor does he mutilate his genitals or any other such nosense that Lisa does. Fortunately the situation resolved favorably in my friend's case. I remind SuperTramp83 that he owes a public apology to my friend for spreading harmful speculation about him. On the other hand, I would not help Lisa, and not for his looks, but because he has made lying and victimhood his modus vivendi.

I reply to my own comment for a few reasons, it appears I have corrections to make, The creator of death note though bad in actions, can repent, and he isn't bad because of who he is, but because of his actions. No one is beyond redemption which may be a shock to many people. Yes indeed atheists I am very much telling you this because this is something you don't get. If you ever played the game Pokemon black and white completely like I did, before I became interested in free software, in the place called N's castle one of the six sages says this: "Superior men do what is right, inferior men know what will sell." This applies to why death note is a disaster, it is just an easy way to make money. It appeals to the lowest common denominator. It is like a train wreck, people for some reason, like to see what happened, but quite honestly, we are made in the image of Almighty God, so we really have no right to feed this venom. An eye for an eye is basically what death note's final ending amounts to. If the author had simply had let Light repent at the end even if he still died, that would have been preferable especially considering he was under the curse of Ryuk's death notebook. But anyways, I know you will challenge me on this, but understand, This is my feeling. Other than these changes, the rest holds true. Also, I didn't edit the exact first post I made, because that would be dishonest to you.

Sorry but I have to call you out on this, if you quote death note or the author of death note, you are basically quoting an evil person or idea. for the record, I do not support discrimination. My reason for posting is more, about your death note quote. That man who made that toxic show should be in jail. This is the venom that makes people think certain things are acceptable, such as judging... example #1 if you watch the whole series, light is only evil when he is under the influence of the death note. Example 2: Near and L and the other police officers instead of trying to get him help, instead try to crucify him... figuratively of course. Example 3: Ryuk gets away with poisoning an innocent person and is effectively not punished even though he poisoned light yagami with the death note for ENTERTAINMENT! I put emphasis on entertainment because that is literatly the worst reason to give someone that kind of power... so yeah... never quote death note. NEVER! Again, emphasis for why death note should be like saying the word voldemort... its not right and it makes you look like a sociopath to the heavens, and anyone who is actually rational. Again, I do not support what Jodiendo said, but I refuse to let people say stuff about death note as if it is a fact or in a positive way. Death note was created by a man who clearly serves the devil with most of his soul. This my belief and if you don't agree with it, well, its not my problem. Sorry, I really hate that show.

Thank you very much for your support and participation against DRM! :) If they reply back and question what is the problem exactly, tell them that the true cause of the problem is the usage of DRM. This is important because otherwise they might think that it's only a matter of "software compatibility", when it's clearly beyond that. :)

I don't know much about gnunet-conversations, but I know that GNU Ring is almost usable. I have tested with the latest test-packages for Guix, and communication with others works fine, even video and audio. It would be great if GNU Ring and gnunet-conversations would interact with each other. I get "vmlinuz not found error" when I putting the commands in grub https://libreboot.org/docs/gnulinux/encrypted_trisquel.html I followed the guide perfectly.
