I am writing about selecting oxygen or qtcurve in kde system settings and after
that, new opened windows of dolphin are using the gtk theme, like mist or
clearlooks or whatever is set with lxappeareance. Basically the kde/qt apps
(dolphin) are using the gtk theme set with lxappearence.
gnash is a important project but
arent the majoraty of flash programs non-free?
dose libre-actionscript need to be made?
although if you have to use flash then its much better to use gnash than the
horrible adobe program
You must have in ~ a configuration file that is the cause of your problem.
I don't think your proposal is wrong, I just think that it can't solve the
problem.
My proposal is a mixture of
1. your proposal (writing as many userscript replacements as possible)
2. stallman's proposal (trying to convince as many server owners to release
their code as free javascript; i
Yes, that should be true; all thou I haven't identified it yet, I assume
is an artifact from logging in with trisquel mini after finishing the
installation.
I'm glad that it was something I missed and not a bug.
Thanks!

Sure, of course there is much more needed than just replacing Skype to
really free a computer but it would be a tremendous step forward. The problem
of convincing all your friends is a very common one. I had to deal with it
many times before because usually the majority of people goes with
i just did a apt-get update and my xbmc updated to kodi !!
Kodi 14.0 Helix Unwinds hit stable version and was released today
yea :)
How is it compared to gotham (and is the launch executable the same?)
Do, didn't do any updates. Agreed, i'll try that. The laptop display is so
hard to read when in that state, I'll use an external monitor to get updates.
Thanks Mzee.
Mibbit basically uses IRC. You can register a nick name using the IRC
services, see `/msg NickServ help` for information.
For sharing files, you would use DCC, but this requires a compatible client
and port forwarding.
Hello,
In French, some of the welcome texts (in the Ubiquity installer) are not
translated. Where can I help translate them?
http://kodi.tv/kodi-14-0-helix-unwinds/
there you can read the improvements. it feels a little snappier on my atom
slow box..
It is the same old xbmc with a new name and theme and some improvements
(mainly the codecs)
xbmc, pardon, kodi rocks!
and by the way I'd like to know one thing -
Few things you could try is another
*Linux-libre kernel, e.g. a binary from http://www.jxself.org/linux-libre/
If this helps and you'd be willing to dig deeper you could compare the kernel
configs to see what they do differently (although this will likely be a long
list)

The updates installed. I was embarrased to find that the brightness could be
adjusted in the settings panel, but the setting only lasts the one session.
Next boot it comes on darkened, the brighness 'slider' at 0. I find if the
brightness is as it should be, mine looks ok at about 60%, if
Hello!
I think you have to (or rather you'd better to) translate it via Launchpad
as the project is hosted there (including translations). Here is the link to
the translations: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity.
And thanks in advance for translating it into
Here seems to be something

Since you seem to be able to change the brightness, this thread might be of
interest (long messy thread, sorry)

Trisquel has different welcome texts than Ubuntu.
And while you're at it, you could also fix the following mistake:

interesting to see if the fault is reproduced.
I wish to fetch an episode of a radio drama that was broadcast on Radio 4
last night, according to the schedule. Last week, I gave the command,

and got numbers that, I believe, correspond to the 6 episodes in the series.
Today, I tried

Or any other mic for that matter. It's a fresh install of Trisquel 7. It
can't detect the mic in the Thinkpad or the mic in my logitech webcam. Sound
settings shows nothing on the input levels and sound recorder does not get
anything. Can someone please help me? I don't know what to do.
Older versions of GNOME had a hardware tab that allowed you to manually
select what hardware to use. That was removed at some point between 3.4 and
3.10. I understand why they did it (because ideally GNOME should be able to
figure out what to use automatically), but I do wish they'd left in
alsamixer in terminal and see if the setting are right and there if you
press f6 you can choose which mic to use.
hope that helps

As in when they want security and privacy they look at free software :)
My BIOS don't support virtualization, i can't use virt-manager.
Another idea?
I tried to turned everything related to input all the way up in alsamixer but
it did not change anything.
Is there a free software program to securely erase/wipe a hard drive?
The command is shred. It's part of coreutils; a basic command of the
system.
If you want a graphical frontend, you can install the nautilus-wipe package
to add wipe menu entries to GNOME's file manager.
It's probably not possible at this time. There may be some potential
candidates around the corner that it may be possible to totally free (at
least the core board, ie not necessarily including hard drives, etc). There
are issues with the wifi being integrated on most of the chromebooks. If
The N USB just went out on me, unfortunetly just before I got to the new

Fortunately, I have the G and it is working fine. It has really great
