So full of misleading information, it links to a question of stackoverflow
from 2011.
In stackoverflow there is a reference to that bug in bugzilla:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368255
And apparently was fixed with firefox 27 a long time ago...
I hope people would take the
Sorry I didn't make time to answer to all yet, but quickly this:

It suggest to (at least) take care of /tmp and /var, and all this is only for
online tampering.
https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/full-disk-encryption-install explains how to
install Trisquel with a full disk encryption.
However, as far as I understand, you have successfully encrypted /home. The
second most sensitive part of the disk to encrypt is the swap (assuming you
have a swap
Well, hard to be easier:
$ sudo ecryptfs-setup-swap
The command must be run while the swap is on. Swap encryption breaks
Hibernate/Resume (not suspend/Resume) as the command warns. But I think it is
worth it: currently encrypting...
I do not think a BIOS boot partition can be encrypted since it contains part
of the bootloader.
I'm a noob. I pressed the "encrypt the installation for security" thing in he
installer but when I look at my partitions I see an unencrypted partitions
"Filesystem partition 1 20gb Ext4" then there is "extended partition
partition 2 230 GB" then an encrypted partition "partition 5 230 GB
Help me.
I'm okay with the downgraded performance. :) My philosophy on software has
been changing recently and I'm really not into gaming that much any more. I
don't like all of the DRM with AAA games coming out. My new geforce 8400gs
has been fine for me so far. I plan on doing some more tinkering
It blows my mind still that I need javascript enabled just to see some text
displayed on a web page :/

Hi, i'm new in this forum. Im the author of Gnuinos.
Cheers
meh..it's all squeezed :(
Sure :)
Tx for the link B. Magic. I usually just make sure I have all my data backed
up and just reinstall everything, heh. I think the next time I'll follow
this, it seems smarter.
I'm not able to read the post linked (I guess the server is down at the
moment, and Diaspora's atrocious JavaScript-ridden nonsense has prevented the
post from being cached properly by anyone), but I think I tracked down a
related post on Stack Overflow. If I found what this is about, it's
no, seems like the author of this post just doesn't know how the internet
works...

I have questions about verfying stuff, the signatures, to be sure I got what
I want from where it's supposed to be from- those things are soo
long it'd take me forever to compare them, is that the only way, no

Thank you. I noticed when I had Mini, I had 2 others that came in with it.
I think I understand what you're saying. Thanks. :)
Can I encrypt 1MB bootable BIOS partition?
How about writing a manual you would link in
https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/setup ?
You do not need 3 or 4 hours to "restore the OS". See
http://trisquel.info/en/wiki/cloning-system-or-how-make-copy-installed-packages-one-computer-another
(you can use 'dselect' instead of the Synaptic package manager if you prefer
the command line).
Since the system to clone will be,
I have never done that but that seems to be a solution:

A few months ago I encrypted /home and /swap. You can very easily encrypt
your swap partition, Magique.
The performance hit (due to encryption) on my 2004 potato is barely
noticeable.
Hack: FDE means the swap partition will be included (encrypted) AFAIK.

Yw, mate Hack, but I did not help you.. :(
Last time I almost formatted and reinstalled everything was when I had a
dependency hell here on Debian. The impulse was to reinstall. I decided I
would not do that and instead I spent an hour to read and fix the problem,
which after all proved to
How to install GRUB on GPT with BIOS without crashing FS?
P. S. Can I make UEFI firmware to replace BIOS? Or UEFI motherboards are
