I had updated the system before checking it too. Since I posted that I've
reinstalled Trisquel. Gnewsense has been plagued by out-of-date systems. It
took so long for Ucclia to come out too. Not to criticize another free
software project. But it makes me appreciate Trisquel.
"Sorry, but I don't see any gallery of old screenshots in gnu.org."
That's because it's not made yet. I was trying to let SalmanMohammadi and
others know all that was planned.
"Can you show me where did you found this information?"
I got it from myself:
with all due respect**
Firefox 31 is unsupported. That is a serious issue. They should update to 45
ESR (which wheezy is at).
If you are thinking of going to gnewsense because you think that the packages
will be newer, don't. I just installed it. It's based on Debian Wheezy, which
is the old stable version and all the packages are just as old. Gnome-shell
is 3.4. On Trisquel belenos it's 3.10. Iceweasel is 31.5,
oh dumb me thought it was an OS but it doesn't seem to be so far as I can see
but my brain may be in dense mode today.
I've come to a conclusion about this computer- as it's been sugested to me
before by at least one person, I need a better machine. Based on my needs,
the programs I tried aren't as good as the GNOME Shell, so I need more memory
to run it. Although my Mac has enough, it's not libre, but it'd
Yeah me too. :/ My browser version is 49.0.2.
well, I followed the instructions found in
https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/update-linux-libre-kernel (please scroll down
to jxself section) when you and magic banana first tolled me to update my
kernel two days ago, and that didn't fix it, but I'm not sure which version I
got back then, and
Sounds great, count me as a Stable user!
Apparmor demands some more education than Firejail (which can be applied
system-wide, it seems).
Grsecurity even more (even if I don't compile it, but it seems the version in
the repo is buggy, according to root_vegetable).
And it seems I'm barely
>As far as I know, latest libre linux kernel has a patch for the screen
resolution. 4.6 or older, I believe, have the ati fix.
Add the repository and install 4.8.

Mozilla actually completely removed the API from Firefox:

I just bought a Wireless-N Mini VPN Router from TP along with their VPN
service. Really excited to try it out and have a free, open alternative. :)
You could use Parabola, Trisquel flidas, or Debian stretch/sid.
Install Kubuntu 16 something
remove the non free repos and alll google spying stuff =software center
install kernel libre , remove Kubunto kernel..
& Pray ;-)
ok as compiling KDE Plasma 5 seems a difficult task and there are no trisquel
packages available yet i will just keep using gnome 3 until new packaeges are
made.
thanks for the help.
are you saying that I need to down-grade (not up-date) my Linux libre kernel
in Trisquel?

more tuning to do :)
Yes, this is the frontend developed in freepascal by Edward:)
The desktop environment is called "KDE Plasma 5". It is based on libraries in
"KDE Frameworks" (as written in the "About KDE" window you show). Ans there
are the "KDE Applications", a coherent set of applications that are based as
well on the "KDE Frameworks".
Anyway, I think everybody
So the thing that looks like This is called?
based on Debian Wheezy 7.2
Yes
it's a Debian Long Term Support

The idea is to rotate the picture every now and again.
I agree with jxself. FSF does not discriminate between free software
distributions and treats them all equally. As such, it is appreciable to
update the screenshot when any one of the enlisted distro makes a new
release. I appeal all
Thank you, Mangy.
I just tested gNewSense 4.0 today. Seems its based on Debian Wheezy 7.2
(Someone correct me, if I am wrong.) and many software are old as compared to
Trisquel 7.0. But overall, it is extremely stable (no crash or lag.) and
fully support my Intel GM965/GL960 Integrated
