I had thought to myself what will I do in this menu, days ago.
The Color menu ("profile"?) displays a window with two columns: "Device" and
"Calibration"
Below device: "unknown - "STD HDMI TV" (AND below that is:) "STD HDMI TV"
(selected button active)
Below the "Calibration" is:
It also works on debian/devuan... (devuan though works better in my
experience for linux libre. not sure why.
I tried debian stretch and devuan stretch back when it was four months from
being stable.
Devuan unstable which I am using now works fine with linux-libre as the
kernel. :)

If for some reason we need the latest linux-libre kernel in Trisquel, we can
follow this guide to achieve our goal.
Add the Official repository.
This repository comes from FSFLA (Free Software Foundation Latin America) the

How does I2P avoid sending your IP address?
Thank you.

The reason I2P is more safe and ethical than Tor for torrenting is the fact
that it was built for that purpose- unlike Tor, which is primarily designed
for standard client/server systems (with clearnet access being part of the
system, unlike for I2P). They do share parts of their

What this effectively means for users is that everything (source hosting, bug

There will be no changes in project goals - all platforms
So is the use of encryption what makes it safer than Tor for torrenting? To a
layman the "tunnels" sound very similar to relay nodes.
I'll take a look at GNUnet too. Thanks.

What does IP2 do differently that makes it safe?
That's a problem with the MATE live desktop ISO. It hasn't been updated since
xf86-video-* packages were changed to simply be xf86-video-intel,
xf86-video-nouveau, and so on. I've tried manually changing the packages in
the install script, but there were some other hiccups I don't recall.
>lightweight software such as lxde and vlc
I can agree completely on LXDE but VLC is everything but lightweight.. :P
Mpv for the WIN. Mplayer for the superwin on very old hardware. \o/
Fair enough. But a VPN is enough to escape Hollywood lawyers making
examples.
Torrenting via Tor is NOT anonymous. Torrenting with a VPN is not anonymous.
Torrenting with I2P is absolutely anonymous and very very safe.

Expect slowly slow slowness though :///
A second reason programmers think that their code is a mess is that it is
inefficient. The rendering code in Netscape was rumored to be slow. But this
only affects a small part of the project, which you can optimize or even
rewrite. You don’t have to rewrite the whole thing.

True, the search is not very thorough although I find my vids most of the
time.
It never ever crashed here, not once, and I've been using it for a year or
so.
I know what U mean .. it took me 4 installations before get it right.
But then I wrote it down, step by step.

Uh oh.
See this classic article about why rewriting an app from scratch is nearly
always a disastrous idea:

Then again, if I recall correctly, that guy predicted that the iPhone would

Have you tried changing the color profile in "Color" (in "System Settings")?
Isn't it better to download it using torrent?
I've always used torrent, never wanted nor tried to get used to streaming, so
this issue you raised never really bothered me.
LXDE uses Randr as a frontend but there's a missing package. Install package
'x11-xserver-utils' to make it work.
sudo apt-get install x11-xserver-utils
Ok, this is good to know! Hopefully, this new version will make it into
Icecat before too long :-)
I've been wondering about screen settings as well. I'm using LXDE with
Trisquel 7 on a Macbook 2,1. If I click on 'Monitor Settings' on the
'Preferences' menu, I just get an error box saying "Unable to get monitor
information!".
The brightness buttons at the top of the keyboard don't seem
