Yes, that's what I meant. My deepest apologies.

What do you mean with (open-source) 0_o ?
Maybe Free Software?

I decided to take a break because everyone would make threads about how
Trisquel 8 might never come out, and that made me really nervous. I decided
that it was affecting me too much.

However, I have several other things going on in my life. I really want all
software to be open-source in the future, but I have to work on myself first.
I hope you can understand. I have defaulted to Linux Mint for now.

Regardless, I will be occasionally looking at this forum, to see what the
Trisquel community is up to. I will rejoin someday and contribute again when
it is possible for me.

I don't understand.. I think you are joking.. :P
Are you really asking me if you can install Xubuntu on a notebook?
If so, then of course mate, why not. Actually, especially for middle or low
ranged specs laptops and netbooks you won't find much better than Xfce.. It
just runs smooth as butter consuming very little RAM and CPU resources.
BTW, when a friend asks me to install a GNUXino on their laptop or desktop I
usully go with Xfce. In fact I have to agree with the mate that wrote that
the UI is between modern and classic and very intuitive and easy to use. It
also just works, just like Mint.

TIP: if you want to make sure you have the highest odds of NOT being phoned
by your not very skilled newly GNUed mate at 11:57 PM because "For the life
of me I just spent 3 hours and I cannot change the wallpaper HURRR " I
really recommend for your own mental sake Lignux Mint..
