Where does all the hate come from? This forum is the most unfriendly place I
have ever been on the internet. This behaviour is poisonous and is damaging
the whole free and open software movement.
This review clearly refers to a purchase that was made at least one year or
even longer ago.
Hi,
unfortunately my whole computer equipment got electrocuted in a thunderstorm.
My beloved librebooted T400 was among the victims. It wasn't even connected
to the power supply but to a LAN cable. Everything connected to the LAN has
been librecuted (router, firewall and laptop) and now I
They are now. I remember the discussion about Minifree because it's been one
reason I registered here:
Just take a look:

I think it is a bit unfair pointing fingers.
It is sad that once again there‘s people with the same goals fighting
against each other.
It looks to me that you, Leah, like to pick a fight. In almost each of your
comments you point out how much cheaper your laptops are. People can read and
choose, you don‘t need to say it a hundred
Thanks a lot for your answer and the useful links.
A pity that I have this G-version.
I guess it won't be compatible in the future. :-(
Great news.
Unfortunately the Galaxy 2, GT-I9100G doesn't seem to be supported.
Does anyone know the reason and other ways to make it more secure?
They are presenting a Librem 13 running coreboot with a hacked ME.

Did you manage to flash your T400 yet?
To each his own. I like the older Lenovo Thinkpads. The keyboard has been
mentioned, in my mind the "old" models are far superior to the latest models.
I like the overall design of a Thinkpad. Macbooks are nice but they are hard
to repair which is disproportionately expensive. Upgrades are

Hi Megver83,
first of all, I am sorry that I am not going much into detail now, because I
don't have a lot of time.
I will come back to this topic. ;-)
You don't need a PSU! The 3.3V of the RPi is sufficient. The Jumper cables
are only different in colour so that you can identify
Like I said, I don‘t have a problem with your opinion, although it seems to
me you made up your mind pretty quickly. That is part of today‘s zeitgeist;
one has to live with the fact, that a lot of people only read the headlines
and then pretend to know everything. They fill the gaps with
@alberto
I respect your opinion but I don‘t understand why some people here on this
forum read so much into things ("They are ashamed of being...blabla").
What‘s your point?
If you had taken the time to read a little more than you would know that
„they“ also prefer hardware that can be

I don't think this should get so much publicity.
Sorry, I don‘t see any change. Nothing new to the story, which is dragging
on forever. She is still lumping together each and every one from the FSF
harping on about principles but in fact she isn‘t better

Like SuperTramp83 I recommend a T400 as well. You can put 8GB of RAM in it, 2
Harddrives preferably SSD, and choose between screen resolutions.
See here for details: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Category:T400
A T400 can be found around a 100 bucks (or cheaper) on ebay. You don‘t need
much
I've been a silent reader for a long time and I just registered to be able to
respond to your post.
Of course you are entitled to your opinion but you've been repeating yourself
time and again. I don't understand what you are trying to achieve?
Why don't you buy one of those cheap laptops on
I don't use Javascript so nothing is hidden for me. But that wasn't the point
I was trying to make.
Yes, you can repeat your opinion as often as you like. A little boring in the
long run...but do as you like.
Thanks for the welcome. Just to be clear my post was an answer to
quantumgravity's post as well.
I don't think that this topic is something one should be so agitated about.
The price is high but reasons have been given and explained.
Exactly. I upgraded it to 8GB of RAM and put in 2 SSDs and it's working
great.
Not that you need to play FullHD movies on this display but it's working
without problems. I am very happy with it.
I don't know if virtualization works with libreboot but I haven't tried out
yet.
It's not a
