Howdy,
How can I find out which sans-serif font Abrowser actually uses?
If to open Abrowser and go to Menu Preferences Content tab Default
font, I can see 'sans-serif' but there doesn't seem to be any explanation as
to which font it actually is.
Thx.
And I'm already considering searching for 'unfriend-zoned' definition... So,
brace yerselves!

That was fast... :/

I completely agree with your SaaSS points (I was actually made aware of it
watching RMS TED talk).
The real problem that I face with SaaSS as a newbie web dev is the server to
host applications. And I think this is a far more difficult to solve than
Google Docs or something of
Using it. Thus far, loving it :)
I've been searching for animation software myself some time ago, and the best
I've found was Synfig. You will find it in Trisquel repo.
sudo apt-get install synfigstudio
or via Synaptic.

I didn't have much time to dive into it (plus I'm not an animator) but while
There's one more I've found in Trisquel repo. It's called Tupi2D.
sudo apt-get install tupi
I can only speak from my personal experience, and this won't be as much about
ethics as it is of usability but Trisquel is pretty much my first GNU/L, and
I have tried a lot of distros in last months using live versions (incl.
Ubuntu). Thus far, Trisquel has been the easiest, most pleasant
Thanks, guys.
Quidam's answer worked for me pretty well, although I can still see frames
(definitely lighter, though) on alt+tab. Is this to be expected?
I've just watched User Liberation video comissioned by FSF[1], and stumbled
upon the site of the studio behind it (URCHIN). I noticed they released a
very interesting trailer for Wires for Empathy[2]. I decided to share my
finding :-]
Looks like the movie will be released under CC like the
I started using Atom as Sublime Text replacement. It's incredibly
customizable.
Personally, I fail to see how company's growth (and thus profits) is
something more important than users' freedom. I understand how every company
needs to make money but not every company decides to do it in unethical way.
It's a choice.
At the end of the video the creators state:
The project is an open movie production made with free software for release
with data, content and tools under CC-BY-SA and GNU-GPL.
If I understand correctly, 'content' refers to the actual movie, and CC-BY-SA
is a free work license.
I'm very happy to see such a positive reaction but how long have we been
friends, exactly? :-)
I found the movie both eye-opening and gripping. I know the movie has been
screened in several European countries, so I would just keep checking local
cinemas and hope for the best.
Apart from the message, Snowden himself made me wonder how many more

So basically this(?):
friendzoned is basically a preemptive rejection where people get too
comfortable with someone and see them as only a special conversation/sharing
info partner 'a friend' and unconsciously reject the person as a sexual
opportunity and would be shocked and appalled if
The strength in GNU/Linix is its diversity, the more projects the stronger
the community becomes. Otherwise we delve into the realms of Microsoft and
Apple and only repeat their mistakes!
I agree too few options lead to monopoly, but I don't think that more

Is there any way to disable panel animations that trigger on button click (or
frames that appear on tab+alt, for that matter)?
I'm using out of the box Trisquel 7 (metacity).
He's using Trisquel Mini.
Thanks for the answers, guys! Thanks to you I was able to get rid of unneded
stuff :)

Out I've been using LO for some time now but Abiword caught my attention when
I tried LXDE. Is there a big difference between Abiword and LO Writer?
Really glad I could be of help :)
Now, shiver me timbers if you won't find gmake in Trisquel repository. The
trick is to seek for 'make', though, as this is what gmake seems to be called
in Ubuntu.
This thread can be of additional help to you:
Software that comes pre-installed seems to all have trisquel-recommended as
its dependency. Could the removing of this package (to remove other packages)
break Trisquel in any way?
I'd install Trisquel as second system first, and see how things works. If
everything is fine, just install it again, it's a pretty fast and painless
process.
1. Is trisquel an adequate OS for fist time users with no previous experience
on linux? I have been reading a both but the book is based on fedora.
2. If trisquel is not an appropriate OS for first time users can I get some
recommendations?
3. Are there books or resources besides this website
And let's not forget LSD trips :
Thanks, very helpful.
Do you know how can I switch between window managers? I can't find it in
system settings.
Possibly a newbie question.
What happened to Compiz/Metacity switch in Trisquel 7?
If your library stores ebooks, then perhaps this list could be of help to
you: http://resrc.io/tag/
Or check the project on GitHub:
